KNOXVILLE – Sandy Jansen, executive director of the University of Tennessee’s Audit and Consulting Services, has been elected president of the Association of College and University Auditors. Her one-year term begins Sept. 16, 2014.
The association provides tools and information to help members improve the higher education institutions they serve. The organization is diverse, with members representing more than 500 institutions across the world and universities of all sizes.
Jansen has served as UT’s chief internal auditor since 2012, managing independent appraisals of accounting, financial and other operational systems within the University and overseeing institutional compliance. Prior to joining UT, she was assistant chief audit executive at Texas Tech University System, where she worked for 21 years. Jansen earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Texas Tech University and is certified as an internal auditor and in control self-assessment.
