UT Board of Trustees Committees Meet May 9, 2016 in Nashville

KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees Audit and Compliance, Executive and Compensation, and Trusteeship Committees will meet Monday, May 9, in Nashville.

The Audit and Compliance Committee meeting will begin at 10 a.m. CDT, followed by Executive and Compensation at 12:30 p.m. and Trusteeship at 2 p.m. in the offices of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, 1600 Division Street, Suite 700.

Agenda items for Audit and Compliance include:

• NCAA agreed-upon procedures
• Athletics departments’ financial trends
• Office of Audit and Compliance budget
• Written reports on accomplishments, audit plan update, institutional compliance, information security, external audit reports and travel exception report
• Division of state audit report, including detail of IT findings (non-public executive session)
• Office of Audit and Compliance executive director performance evaluation (non-public executive session)
• Litigation update (non-public executive session)

Agenda items for the Executive and Compensation Committee include:

• President’s report
• Draft revisions to the performance-based variable compensation plan to incorporate retention
• Public Chapter 753 on powers of the board
• Tentative schedule and agenda for the annual meeting
• 2016 workshop topic
• Board meeting dates and a workshop in 2017

The Trusteeship Committee agenda items include:

• Association of Governing Boards’ statement on trust, accountability and integrity
• Review of bylaws
• 2016 workshop topic
