KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Office of Communications and Marketing earned recognition including a top-level “Award of Excellence” at the 2017 V Awards presented by the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Integrated communications in support of the University’s “2017 My Campus Student Experience Survey” took top honors for Ellie Amador, assistant director of communications, and Nick Simson, digital communications designer. Amador and Simson collaborated in planning and developing written and visual communications, including signage, electronic messaging and announcements specific in design and content to each UT campus.
“This survey was both a complex project and the first of its kind, so it’s very rewarding to have been involved in planning from the beginning and to have achieved successful outcomes,” Amador said.
The team also took home two awards of quality, one for Tennessee Alumnus magazine and the other for planning and execution of the UT President’s State of the University address 2017.
The Public Relations Society of America is the nation’s largest professional organization with over 30,000 members, comprised of communications professionals spanning every industry sector nationwide.
