Knoxville – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its annual meetings June 23-24 in the UT Knoxville Pilot Flying J Student Union Ballroom, 1502 Cumberland Ave., Knoxville.
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
- June 23
- 1 p.m. EDT – Finance and Administration Committee
- 2:45 p.m. EDT – Audit and Compliance Committee (Public and Non-Public Sessions)
- June 24
- 8:30 a.m. EDT – Education, Research and Service Committee
- 10:15 a.m. EDT – Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees
Some board members may participate virtually, and all meeting times are approximate. If a meeting ends earlier or later than expected, the next meeting may begin following a short break. All meetings will be webcast live and archived for later viewing; a link to the webcast will be available at tennessee.edu.
Agenda items include, but are not limited to:
- President’s address
- Appointment of Dr. Carrie Castille as the new Senior Vice Chancellor/Senior Vice President (SVC/SVP) for the UT Institute of Agriculture (UTIA)
- FY 2022-23 Operating Budget (including Salary Plan, Student Tuition and Fees, and Room and Board Rates)
- Capital Outlay Funding Requests, FY 2023-24 through FY 2027-28
- Capital Maintenance Funding Requests, FY 2023-24 through FY 2027-28
- Revenue/Institutionally Funded Capital Projects, FY 2023-24
- Adoption of in-state residency classification for military-affiliated students
- Election of the UT Board of Trustees Chair
- Annual presidential performance review

Requests to address the board concerning items on the meeting agenda or other issues germane to the responsibilities of the Board may be submitted using the online form or the pdf at: trustees.tennessee.edu/requests-to-address-the-board/. Requests will be accepted until 5 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 20. In accordance with the Standing Rule Governing Requests to Address the Board (also at the above link), persons who have preregistered to speak will be scheduled to speak in a committee meeting or the full board meeting on a first come, first served basis. Speakers will be limited to five minutes each, and the total time available for speakers will be 30 minutes.
