Since 2018, the UT trustees, who were all new to the Board, have taken a series of deliberate steps to build the Board from the ground up employing best practices in governance.
“We continue to diligently monitor the situation across the state to make adjustments in the best interest of our students, faculty and staff,” said UT President Randy Boyd.
In a special meeting, the Board took the next step in a possible acquisition of Martin Methodist College by giving its approval for UT System leaders to continue negotiations and seek necessary approvals.
