The University of Tennessee was well represented at the annual ceremony, receiving eight awards total, including the Excellence in Mentorship and the Executive of the Year awards.
For his support of public relations and elevating its impact at the University of Tennessee, President Joe DiPietro was named Executive of the Year by the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Finalists are being selected in the search for a new director of the UT Space Institute in Tullahoma and will lead public forums for faculty and staff in the next few weeks.
Mrs. Boling was a native of Knoxville and received a bachelor’s degree in child development and family relationships from UT Knoxville in 1952. She and Ed Boling married on Aug. 8, 1950 and had been married for 65 years when the former UT president died in June 2015.
