The UT System plans to welcome students back to each of its campuses this fall.
In a virtual meeting, President Randy Boyd updated trustees as to the ongoing impact, plans to return to campus and looking to the fall during this era of COVID-19.
By a unanimous vote Friday afternoon, the Board of Trustees selected Randy Boyd to serve as UT’s 26th president for the next five years.
These meetings will gather input and feedback on the appointment of interim president Randy Boyd to the presidency of the UT System for a term of an additional five years. Boyd has served as interim president since November 2018.
Based on positive feedback from Boyd’s review process, John Compton said he recommended removing the interim title and extending Boyd’s term as president for a term of five additional years.
