UT Interim President Randy Boyd announced the search committee in November. Hiring a new chancellor is one of his six outlined priorities. UT will use a search firm in partnership with its own executive recruitment team to identify candidates for the position.
The task force will be co-chaired by David Miller, UT’s chief financial officer, and Richard Brown, executive vice chancellor for administration for UT Chattanooga.
Randy Boyd announced an initiative geared toward providing greater and easier access to information for UT’s faculty, staff, students and the communities it serves.
The search committee, chaired by Keith Carver, chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Martin, will officially launch the search in January with hopes to name a chancellor in May.
During the months prior to taking office, Randy Boyd traveled the state to listen and learn from many stakeholders both inside and outside of the University of Tennessee system. From those discussions, he outlined six primary objectives to accomplish during his tenure.
