On the third anniversary of the University of Tennessee acquiring Martin Methodist College, UT Press released “University of Tennessee Southern: The Rebirth of an Institution.”
After months of conversations, meetings, measures and proceedings, the UT Board of Trustees voted to acquire the assets of Martin Methodist College and establish a new UT campus in Pulaski, Tennessee: UT Southern.
The Board of Trustees will hold its annual meeting June 24-25 in the Mooney Building, 875 Monroe Avenue, located at the UT Health Science Center in Memphis.
UT Board Chair John Compton attributed the success to the faculty, staff and students working together to create a safe environment.
The Executive Committee will hold a virtual meeting at 9 a.m. EST/8 a.m. CST on Jan. 22 with members participating electronically or by telephone.
