Dr. Millhorn, who joined UT System Administration in 2005 as vice president for research and economic development, was 72. During his tenure at UT, Millhorn oversaw multiple, unprecedented achievements for the University’s research enterprise.
Emerson “Eli” Fly died Aug. 7 in Knoxville at the age of 82. Fly served as president of UT from 2001 until 2002, capping a 40-year career at the University.
Longtime University of Tennessee General Counsel Beauchamp “Beach” E. Brogan died on July 9 in Knoxville at the age of 87.
