The Spark Innovation Center at UT Research Park was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy as a prize winning incubator in the Energy Program for Innovation Clusters (EPIC).
Leaders at the two universities announced a strategic alliance to compete for the management-and-operations contract of the Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee and the Pantex Plant in Texas.
“We are thankful to the DOE for its support of this program that will deliver a top-tier interdisciplinary workforce talent in emerging fields for industry, government and academia,” UT President Randy Boyd said.
