
UT Board of Trustees to Hold Workshop Aug. 17 in Nashville

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees Executive and Compensation Committee is scheduled to meet Aug. 4 in Knoxville, with members participating by teleconference.
The 1.8 percent undergraduate tuition increase trustees approved is the lowest increase since 1984 and marks three consecutive years of increases at or below 3 percent—a first since the UT system was established in 1968.
A projected University of Tennessee funding gap has been cut from $377 million to $122 million, President Joe DiPietro told UT trustees, but more work needs to be done.
