UT President Joe DiPietro Named to Board of Trustees of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

University of Tennessee President Joe DiPietro has been appointed a member of the board of trustees of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The organization is the recognized regional accrediting body for accrediting degree-granting institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia and some institutions in Latin America.

UT Board of Trustees Kicks Off Discussion on Multi-Year Initiative

UT President Joe DiPietro had set the stage for Wednesday’s discussion about funding at the trustees’ annual meeting in June. The board’s workshop covered the issue more in depth and allowed trustees to ask questions. The purpose of the discussion was not to devise strategy but gain a better understanding of the issue in order to plan a multi-year initiative.
