This year, 72% of employees statewide rated the UT System as a great place to work – 15 points higher than the average U.S. company.
Based in Nashville, Hirschberg will create and implement innovation, community, and industry partnership initiatives for the UT System. Her first day will be Aug. 15, 2022.
The Board of Trustees has approved a measure that will classify military-affiliated students as Tennessee residents in order to attend a UT institution of their choosing at the in-state tuition rate, regardless of their residence of origin.
As a part of the state education department’s strategic plan, the Grow Your Own initiative aims to set a new path for the educator profession and for Tennessee to be the top state in which to become and remain a teacher and leader for all.
