KNOXVILLE — On University of Tennessee campuses across the state, nearly 4,000 students are receiving undergraduate and graduates degrees this month.
Graduates of the summer and fall semesters total about 2,500 at UT Knoxville, more than 600 at UT Martin, 665 at UT Chattanooga and 71 at the UT Health Science Center.
Including spring semester graduates, nearly 10,000 students earned University of Tennessee degrees in 2011.
The Health Science Center, which celebrated its centennial this year, and UT Knoxville held commencement ceremonies on Dec. 9. UT Martin’s commencement was Dec. 10. UTC will hand out diplomas on Dec. 17.
The University of Tennessee has more than 325,000 living alumni, the majority of which continue to live in the state and represent the University in all 95 counties.
