UT Board of Trustees, Committees to Meet Dec. 15 in Nashville

KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees and the Audit and Compliance and Health Affairs Committees will meet Thursday, Dec. 15, in Nashville.

The Audit and Compliance Committee meeting will begin at 10 a.m. C.S.T., followed by a called meeting of the Board of Trustees at 12:30 p.m. (with some members participating by telephone), and the Health Affairs Committee at 1:30 p.m. in the offices of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, 1600 Division St., Suite 700.

The agenda for the Board of Trustees includes:

• President’s recommendation for appointment and compensation of the chancellor of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville/grant of tenure in a faculty appointment
• President’s recommendation for appointment and compensation of the chancellor of the Institute of Agriculture (tentative)
• President’s recommendation for appointment and compensation of the general counsel pursuant to a reorganization

Agenda items for Audit and Compliance include:

• UT Knoxville programs for minors
• UT Institute of Agriculture programs for minors
• 2016 internal audit plan status
• 2017 internal audit plan and compliance work plan

The Audit and Compliance Committee will hold a non-public, executive session immediately following the public session in accordance with state law. Agenda items for the non-public session are:

• Information security updates
• UT Chattanooga information technology audit
• Information security follow-up
• Committee review of investigations
• Committee review of litigation

• Overview of existing practice plans
