Knoxville – The University of Tennessee System will continue spreading its statewide “Everywhere You Look, UT” mural campaign throughout October.

Four new murals will be placed in unique locations across middle and southeastern Tennessee. The latest painting project kicks off in White County on Oct. 11 and will end in late October after completion of the murals in Warren, Polk and Moore counties.

This series of murals will bring the UT System to a total of 33 murals and four steps closer to its goal of painting one mural in each of Tennessee’s 95 counties by 2030. The murals will be added as follows:

“Each mural in the campaign serves as a tribute to the thousands of UT employees, students, alumni and fans representing that county and as a reminder to passersby that UT’s presence truly can be found everywhere you look,” UT System President Randy Boyd said. “We’re grateful to the owners of these properties for lending their barns and buildings to the campaign and for helping spread the message of UT’s impact across the state.”

Once completed, the new murals will be seen by an estimated total of 24,947 travelers each day.

Since the campaign’s launch in 2018, 29 murals have been completed in 28 counties across the state. To learn more about the campaign and its locations, or to nominate a canvas, visit the campaign website.
