The May 12 event celebrated the best of East Tennessee’s public relations community and the UT team received Awards of Excellence, Merit or Quality, notching awards for each of its entries.
Jennifer Sicking brings more than 15 years’ experience in professional newswriting and higher education to the position of assistant director of media relations for the UT System, which she assumed in January.
Awards went to Lofton Stuart (UT Foundation) for Executive of the Year and Erica Jenkins (UT System Office of Communications and Marketing) for Rising Young Professional from the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and the UT System Office of Communications won six awards from the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, including three first-place honors.
