“I believe that we are living in a transformational time,” Joe DiPietro said before a crowd of legislators, alumni and friends at the Nashville Public Library. “One day, future generations of Tennesseans will look back at where we stand now as the moment when our state took a tremendous leap forward.”
In two years, the DRIVE! for the Future initiative has helped draw $3.9 billion in new automotive capital investment to the 69-county Tennessee Valley region.
Through its five agencies, which provide training and technical consulting to state and local governments, businesses and law enforcement, IPS answered close to 30,000 requests for assistance in the last fiscal year.
