The Tennessee General Assembly has passed its FY22-23 budget, which includes funding for student scholarships, salary increases for higher education employees, plus millions in new investments within the UT System.
Gov. Bill Lee, accompanied by local and state officials, joined together to officially celebrate UT Southern, the newest campus to join the UT System in more than 50 years.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee included a 4% investment in the University of Tennessee’s systemwide salary pool, among other key investments in his recent State of the State address.
“We are thankful to the DOE for its support of this program that will deliver a top-tier interdisciplinary workforce talent in emerging fields for industry, government and academia,” UT President Randy Boyd said.
