The search committee, chaired by Keith Carver, chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Martin, will officially launch the search in January with hopes to name a chancellor in May.
During the months prior to taking office, Randy Boyd traveled the state to listen and learn from many stakeholders both inside and outside of the University of Tennessee system. From those discussions, he outlined six primary objectives to accomplish during his tenure.
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees appointed alumnus Randy Boyd as interim president in a specially called meeting today.
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will meet Sept. 25 at 11:45 a.m. EDT/10:45 a.m. CDT to consider appointing an interim president.
