The Spark Innovation Center will help six fledgling tech companies identify marketplace needs, develop their technology solutions and build working prototypes.
The partnership will develop a concept plan to make the research park an even more attractive site for businesses to locate and enhance the park for the entire public to enjoy.
Rickey McCallum joined the UT Research Park as vice president on July 1. McCallum draws on his prior experience with the UT Foundation to help the park fulfill its mission to serve as a gateway for collaboration between the university and the private sector.
Tom Rogers, who has extensive development experience in Oak Ridge and Knox County, has been named as president and CEO of the Cherokee Farm Development Corporation.
