Interim President Randy Boyd has announced the creation of “UT Promise,” a transformative scholarship that will provide free tuition to qualifying Tennessee residents enrolling at UT campuses located in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Martin.

“We all recognize the world is changing. There is transformation that could be coming to education,” UT Board Chair John Compton said. “That is what we should be considering in our meetings.”
The meeting of the full board will begin at 1 p.m. CST in the Duncan Ballroom of the Boling University Center on the UT Martin campus. The meeting will be webcast live and archived for later viewing.
