Efforts to promote diversity and inclusion are needed across the University of Tennessee, according to UT President Joe DiPietro. Noma Anderson will assume the role of special adviser to the president on diversity and inclusion, effective July 1.
Nominations and applications are being sought for the next chief financial officer of the University of Tennessee System. The position is expected to be filled by October.
On July 1, a new state law takes effect that allows Tennessee’s public colleges and universities’ full-time faculty and staff, who have handgun-carry permits, to carry handguns on campus. To implement the changes, UT has adopted a new safety policy, which also takes effect July 1.
