One of the first signs of striking change in the University of Tennessee’s business model is the lowest tuition percentage increase in more than 30 years that was approved Thursday by the UT Board of Trustees.
Dr. Edward J. Boling, president of the University of Tennessee system from 1970 to 1988, died on Thursday at the age of 93.
Robert M. Smith, who led award-winning innovations in enrollment management, improving retention and graduation rates, and strengthening academic quality during more than nine years as president of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, has been selected to serve as interim chancellor at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
