Steve Angle, senior vice president at Wright State University, will be recommended by UT System President Joe DiPietro for election by the UT Board of Trustees as the next chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Three public relations executives with experience in higher education have been named finalists for the University of Tennessee System vice president for communications and marketing.
Following a round of January open forums on campus, a group of five candidates has been narrowed to three finalists for the position of chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Gov. Bill Haslam has appointed UT Knoxville alumnus Randy Boyd as a special advisor to the governor for higher education. Boyd will consult with a working group appointed by the governor that includes UT System President Joe DiPietro, Tennessee Higher Education Commission Executive Director Rich Rhoda and Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan.
