Larry Arrington, UTIA chancellor since 2011, will retire and leave office effective Sept. 1. UT President Joe DiPietro has selected UT Extension Dean Tim Cross to serve as interim chancellor until Arrington’s successor is found. A search is to begin immediately.
Efforts to recruit and select the next chancellor of the University of Tennessee’s flagship campus in Knoxville kicked off today. Nominations are being sought with the goal of having the new leader in place for the start of the spring 2017 semester.
