Gov. Phil Bredesen, in what is likely his final visit to ORNL as Governor of Tennessee, is scheduled to speak at the dedication of the University of Tennessee-ORNL Joint Institute for Neutron Sciences, the last of three state-funded joint institutes built at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Gov. Phil Bredesen has announced that J.A.M. “Toby” Boulet, UT Knoxville past faculty senate president, and UT Knoxville undergraduate Carey Smith have been appointed to the nonvoting faculty and student seats on the UT Board of Trustees. The nonvoting appointments are for a one-year term, with a one-year voting term to follow.
