UT Budget Update

Under our current business model, the University will not be able to achieve our state’s priorities to increase the number of Tennesseans with degrees or fulfill our own mission to educate, discover and connect to the best of our ability. We are taking steps within the University to remedy this situation, and I asked the governor to be a partner with us.

UT President Joe DiPietro Participates in College Access Event at the White House

Today, University of Tennessee President Joe DiPietro will join President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden along with hundreds of college presidents and other higher education leaders to announce new actions to help more students prepare for and graduate from college. The White House College Opportunity Day of Action helps support the President’s commitment to partner with colleges and universities, business leaders, and nonprofits to support students across the country to help our nation reach its goal of leading the world in college attainment.

University of Tennessee Honors Volunteer Leaders

Five University of Tennessee graduates who have achieved exceptional success in the fields of agriculture, athletics, business and law are being honored Friday for exceptional service to their alma mater with the highest awards given by the University, designated and presented by the president of UT.
