UT President Joe DiPietro Named to Board of Trustees of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

University of Tennessee President Joe DiPietro has been appointed a member of the board of trustees of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The organization is the recognized regional accrediting body for accrediting degree-granting institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia and some institutions in Latin America.

Five University of Tennessee graduates who have achieved exceptional success in the fields of agriculture, athletics, business and law are being honored Friday for exceptional service to their alma mater with the highest awards given by the University, designated and presented by the president of UT.

UT President DiPietro Presents Vision for Next Four Years

Over the next four years, the University of Tennessee will have better prepared incoming students, higher graduation rates, expanded research funding, enhanced outreach and increased fundraising. That is the vision UT President Joe DiPietro presented to the Board of Trustees and board chair, Gov. Bill Haslam, on Friday.
