David Golden, a long-time faculty member and administrator with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has been selected by UT President Joe DiPietro to serve as executive assistant to the president, effective Dec. 1.
The Center for Addiction Science was founded to address the untreated addiction epidemic, providing clinical treatment services across all demographics. The center is also training physicians to offer alternate forms of pain therapy to avoid over-prescription of opioids.
Three uniquely qualified higher education leaders have been selected as finalists in the search for the next University of Tennessee, Knoxville, chancellor. Finalists will meet with campus leaders and key faculty, staff, student, alumni and community members.
The board of directors and officers of the University of Tennessee Foundation will meet Friday, Nov. 11 in Knoxville, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Downtown, 501 W. Church Street.
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees subcommittee on efficiency and cost savings will meet Friday, Nov. 4, in Knoxville.
