A proposal to hold tuition increases to record lows for three consecutive years is unprecedented in the history of the University of Tennessee system and on its way to consideration by members of the UT Trustees Finance and Administration Committee.
Four experienced higher education leaders from across the country have been named finalists for the position. They will visit Knoxville for meetings with members of the University’s leadership team, direct reports and chief academic officers from across the UT System.
Thomas Zacharia, who built Oak Ridge National Laboratory into a global supercomputing power, has been selected as the laboratory’s next director by UT-Battelle.
The Subcommittee on Community and Alumni Relations will begin meeting at 3 p.m. EDT/ 2 p.m. CDT followed by a joint meeting of the University Life Committee and the Subcommittee on Nonacademic Programs.
